Inventory Intelligence

Your feed says the lot is fine. The units say otherwise.

AutoScope reads your inventory the way a shopper does — unit by unit. Pricing position against the market median, days on lot against floorplan cost, model demand against what you actually stock, and the merchandising gaps that turn VDP views into nothing.

Live figures from a 59-unit Nissan franchise in Bowie, MD, over a rolling 30 days.

Demand is strongest where your inventory is thinnest.

Local shoppers are searching Rogue, Altima and Sentra harder than the lot can answer. The store is running a 3:1 demand-to-supply ratio on those three nameplates — six high-demand inventory gaps in total. Every one of those searches goes somewhere. Right now it goes to Competitor A.

This is not a report you read at month end. It is an acquisition list.

Pricing position is measured against the market, not against last month.

Every unit is scored against the Bowie, Laurel and Glen Burnie median for the same year, model and trim. The problem is rarely uniform. It runs in both directions at once.

14 units overpriced

Averaging $2,400 above the market median. These are the units that collect VDP views and never convert, because the shopper is comparing your price to three other listings in the same tab.

  • 2025 Rogue SV AWD sits $2,140 over on a trim Competitor A lists at $31,050
  • 2026 Rogue SL Premium sits $2,560 over with the highest VDP count on the lot
3 units underpriced

Leaving $8,200 of margin on the table. Nobody flags these, because they sell. They sell for less than they were worth, and the store never sees the difference.

  • Priced under the same three-market median that drives the overpriced list
  • Surfaced before the unit moves, not after it shows up in a closed-deal report

Aging units

23 of 59 units are past day 45, carrying $15,920 in floorplan.

Floorplan accrues at prime plus 1.35% on a $1.9M line, and the per-day rate climbs with age because the oldest units carry the highest acquisition cost. The aged set burns $236 a day. Left alone, the eight worst offenders cost $2,472 over the next thirty days.

Seven units want a reprice, four want promotion, two are wholesale candidates. Apply a reprice in the workspace and it pushes on the 6pm feed, with AI answer engines re-crawling the listing inside 48 hours.

Open Aging Units

2,466 VDP views. Ten leads. That is a pricing problem, not a traffic problem.

Eight units, every one of them aged and every one of them above the market median. Nine units store-wide pull traffic and produce nothing. When a vehicle takes 288 views and returns zero leads, the shopper found the page and rejected the number.

Each row carries its own recommendation

Not a score. A number and a reason. Cut the 2025 Rogue SV AWD by $2,300 to $31,180, because Competitor A lists the same trim at $31,050. Cut the 2023 Sentra SV CVT by $1,700 to $20,990, which undercuts Competitor B by $410. Cut the 2025 Sentra SR Midnight by $1,500, because Competitor D is taking those queries today. The 2022 Altima S FWD is a wholesale call — the Bel Air sale on 19 August.

Open Opportunity Vehicles

Seventeen listings are losing shoppers before price ever comes up.

Merchandising gaps are the cheapest thing on this page to fix and the easiest to miss, because nothing in the feed reports them. AutoScope grades every unit and ranks the work.

01

Weak photos — 9 units

Flagged high priority. Thin or low-quality galleries on units that are already drawing VDP views, so the traffic you paid for lands on a listing that cannot close.

02

Incomplete descriptions — 5 units

Copy that does not name the trim, drivetrain or package a shopper is actually searching for. Answer engines read the description too, and they cannot recommend what is not written down.

03

Missing VDP details — 3 units

High priority. Structured detail absent from the vehicle page. On the certified Rogue at stock U26-2264 the fix is CPO schema, because Competitor D currently owns the certified queries.

Findings do not stop at the report.

Fourteen units to reprice, six models to acquire, nine listings to investigate, seventeen merchandising fixes. Every finding leaves as ranked, assignable work in the Inventory Action Plan, and routes into the CRM your team already lives in — including DriveCentric — alongside your DMS and inventory feeds.
